'Ace of Cakes' is serving its last slice

Michael J. Fox checks out an DeLorean created by the "Ace of Cakes" crew for the "Back to the Future" reunion, as Geoff, right, and Duff, second from right, from the show look on.

First, Rich Sommer of "Mad Men" had me fearing it was the end of the AMC hit (fortunately, it's not -- yet), now Food Network is ending one of my guilty pleasures.

"Ace of Cakes" will be no more after its upcoming season, the Food Network confirmed to TMZ.com. "All good things must come to an end, and the final season of 'Ace of Cakes' will begin on-air in January," a rep said.

So no more Duff or his music and cooking. No more Geoff and his awesome kookiness. No more hijinks at Charm City Cakes (at least not on camera). And worst of all, no more amazing cakes. (Remember the creation the gang presented to the cast of "Lost"?! So cool!)

*sigh* Here's to hoping the talented "Ace of Cakes" crew will appear on other Food Network programs. (Surely, there must be opportunities. Cake decorator Anna has appeared on "Cupcake Wars" and "Food Network Challenge"!)
