Homer Simpson's backside is banned

Though it was once a Springfield staple, Homer Simpson’s bare bottom isn’t welcome on the small screen any more.

According to “The Simpsons” executive producer Al Jean, the Fox network banned the big guy’s yellow backside after years of moons and streaks.

"There was a period where we could show Homer's ass," Jean told New York Magazine. But all that changed one day. “They said we couldn’t.”

Not one to give up so easily, Jean took a good argument to the Fox bigwigs.

“I then went back to them and noted that the repeats where we had showed it are airing in syndication at 6 p.m. (on Fox-owned TV stations)," he said.

Did Jean’s efforts to bring back Homer’s butt help?

"Nope. Banned. Completely."
