Vinny Guadagnino is out of the "Jersey Shore" house.
Over the summer, while the cast of "Jersey Shore" was busy filming the upcoming season, rumors circulated about Vinny Guadagnino's roommate status after he was seen packing his bags and leaving the Seaside Heights residence.
So what really happened? Well, according to "Shore" scene-stealer Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, the rumors were true.
"Yes, Vinny left," she told late night host Jay Leno during a Tuesday visit to the "Tonight Show." "I mean, you'll see through the season. But honestly, we all get homesick sometimes and the cameras get too much for us -- it's like, 'Oh my, God! Go away.'"
Which led to the obvious follow-up question: Has Snooki ever considered leaving the show behind?
"I want to leave every day, but I don't," she confessed. "I just want to relax and do this. But you know, 'Jersey Shore' is amazing and I love my roommates."
At least the roommates that are left.
Expect the full story behind Vinny's departure to unfold over the course of "Shore's" fifth season, which kicks off Thursday night at 10 p.m. ET on MTV. And for those who need to catch up on last season's action before tuning in, MTV will kick off a season-four marathon Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m.
