Astro put on a lackluster performance on Thursday night's "X Factor."
The usual bottom-two ceremony took an unpleasant turn on Thursday night’s “X Factor,” when 15-year-old, hip-hop phenom Astro lashed out about his at-risk status.
After stating that he didn’t even want to put on a save-me performance, Astro, otherwise known as Brian Bradley, put forth a half-hearted and lackluster effort. He then wowed the crowd for all the wrong reasons with his post-performance comments.
"No disrespect to you or this show, but I just feel like if you're going to put me in the bottom two, I don't want to perform for people who don't want me here, you know what I'm saying?” he grumped. “That's it.”
But that’s not it as far as Astro’s mentor is concerned.
“I don't want the world to think that you can have a bad attitude and still win,” L.A. Reid told “Entertainment Tonight” backstage. “I don't like that. I don't like that message at all. So he deserves to apologize. The world that watches him, his fans and ‘The X Factor’ fans deserve an apology.”
Fellow show mentor and judge Simon Cowell agreed, stating, “He's got to come back next week and eat a very large dose of humble pie.”
