"Dancing" sources told TMZ that Queen Latifah is joining the show next season.

Remember when a "Dancing With the Stars" insider confirmed to us that the show was aiming for a higher caliber of celebrities? It looks like the folks behind the ballroom bash may actually be trying to do just that ... at least a little bit.
Sure, TMZ reported late last month that "Keeping Up With the Kardashians' " Rob Kardashian had signed on and that "Jersey Shore's" Snooki was in talks. A source also told Access Hollywood that former "Hills" star Kristin Cavallari is getting ready to put her name on the dotted line. But those three are the sort of reality personalities (not exactly stars) who fans of the show have gotten used to seeing over the past few seasons. Not quite the bigger fish viewers were hoping to see.
But today, there may be a glimmer of hope that fans will see some actual celebrities compete. Sources connected to "Dancing" told TMZ that rapper/actress Queen Latifah
and former "Saved By the Bell" and "Beverly Hills, 90210" star Tiffani Thiessen are is joining the upcoming season. Unfortunately for Thiessen's fans, she tweeted on Friday afternoon, "Even though I'm a good dancer... I am NOT going on #DWTS." Bummer!
Sources also told TMZ Friday that Snooki is set to sign on.
As reported earlier, Mike Tyson, Christina Milian and Ron Artest have also been rumored to be in talks.
The official cast will be revealed during ABC's "Bachelor Pad" on Aug. 29, and the new season kicks off Sept. 19. Ree Hines and I will be host a live chat on Aug. 30 at 12:30 p.m. ET to discuss the cast reveal with you. Sign up now for a reminder!
