“American Idol” fan favorite Casey Abrams returned to the talent competition Wednesday night. Abrams missed last week’s results show due to his second emergency trip to the hospital since the game began, and the 19-year-old attempted to make up for it by delivering a memorable, if not great, performance.
While Abrams’ version of Nivana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” marked his first vocal dud on the show, judge Randy Jackson looked at the bright side of a bad situation.
"It wasn’t your best performance or the best vocal or anything, but I like that you’re fearless,” Jackson raved. “That’s what we need — fearlessness!”
