As fans of "Teen Mom" know, Amber Portwood has a lot of drama in her life. Most notably, she is facing possible felony charges for abusing ex-fiance Gary Shirley in front of their toddler, Leah. With such trouble, it's no surprise that her mother, Tonya, wants her to leave the show and get her life back together.
"She needs a break from filming," Tonya told Life & Style exclusively in its latest issue. "I think she should quit now. Things need to calm down. There's been way too much drama."
Indeed, but with MTV's cameras already rolling, it's likely all the current drama -- from the police investigation to the couple's on again-off again relationship -- is being filmed for season three of the hit show. But despite Amber still being a part of "Teen Mom," Tonya told Life & Style that her daughter is trying to turn her life around.
"She's left Gary. When she's not with Gary, she's fine," Tonya said. "She's seeing a therapist. She's getting herself straightened out."
