Halloween night debut? Forget the trick-or-treating! Apparently, 5.3 million viewers opted to stay home Sunday evening and get a good dose of blood and guts with AMC's newest original series, "The Walking Dead." The numbers for the zombie show were not only the highest for any of the shows in the network's history, they were the biggest for a series premiere on cable this year.
"This is only the beginning of a long, intense and powerful ride," said the network's senior vice president of original programming, Joel Stillerman.
And an intense ride it was, but it gets even better next week. Trust me. I've seen the next hour.
Did you watch "The Walking Dead"? What did you think? Did it live up to the hype?
