“Dancing” fans, what the heck are you thinking?! Bristol Palin offered a disastrous jive Monday night (one worthy of Michael Bolton's controversial 3 paddle for all those missed steps), and yet you vote her through. What gives?
The teen mom received an 18, the lowest score of the week, and paired with her monkey business on the dance floor, it should've been plenty to send her back to Alaska. As for Kyle Massey, who received the second-lowest scores, OK, I'll give you that one. The Disney star offered up a fun foxtrot, and even though judges Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli complained about the lack of a foxtrot in his foxtrot (which he didn't choreograph), at least he landed all of his steps and entertained the audience with his performance.
Instead, you sent Florence Henderson -- Mrs. Brady, for goodness sakes!!! -- home. Did she have the best dance? No way. (Go, Maks! Err ... I mean, Brandy!) But with 21 points, she was far from the worst, despite getting a little lost on the timing in a few spots. Even the usually highly critical Goodman said that parts of her tango were excellent, and noted that it was possibly her best dance to date.
It should've been Palin this week, "Dancing" fans. But she's been given a huge chance (and an additional paycheck, no doubt) for making it yet another week. Let's hope she makes the most of it and shows us a rockin' routine next Monday.
Can't remember just how bad her routine was? Check out this clip:
