Didn't like the "3" that judge Bruno Tonioli gave Michael Bolton's "Hound Dog" jive Monday night? Many of you certainly complained and declared that though the crooner deserved some scolding for the mess he offered, he didn't deserve Bruno's harsh judgement. With such a wave of sympathy, I half expected Bolton to be saved by a massive amount of sympathy votes.
Well, he wasn't. Though viewers disagreed with what the singer himself called "inappropriate and disrespectful" behavior from Bruno, they agreed with the judges that it was the worst dance of the night, and Bolton found himself the second contestant to be eliminated. (Perhaps the standing ovation from the judges and audience will help his wounds heal a smidge.)
But besides having to deal with Bruno's supposed lack of manners, the show felt it had to address "boo-gate." Unaired footage from Monday night's program was shown to try to clear up who the crowd was heckling -- the judges for giving Jennifer Grey all 8s, or Sarah Palin, who was sitting in the audience. The live show made it look like it was Palin the fans were displeased with, but the new footage implied the judges.
Next week, the stars will tell a story with their dances. Let's hope it won't be as hot of a mess as Kate Gosselin's paparazzi paso doble!
